We are a group of enthusiastic tennis players who get together every spring for a week of competitive round-robin tennis doubles (men’s, women’s & mixed) played in a warm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

It all started in January of 2000 when a few tennis players thought it would be a lot of fun to meet before the outdoor season got underway and spend a long weekend playing tennis at a tournament level ... but not a tournament format ... with other professional, warm and friendly people. So they contacted a few other players and eight of them met at Palmetto Dunes in Hilton Head, South Carolina ... and the event was born.

So much fun was had by the group that over the years more and more players attended and the wives and significant others came and played amongst themselves and had a ball also. By the 5th year the event had grown to over 40 players and today, there are over 200 players in the Ultimate Doubles family with more joining every year. It has now grown to become a week-long event with competitive matches against local players, Team Tennis, Fast & Furious matches and Men's, Women's and Mixed Round Robins Doubles. There are dinners, a barbecue, awards, raffles and dancing to round out the event.
